Our current rate of fossil fuel usage will lead to an energy crisis this century. In order to survive the energy crisis many companies in the energy industry are inventing new ways to extract energy from renewable sources. While the rate of development is slow, mainstream awareness and government pressures are growing. ReplyDeletesecondly, AC appliances can be used with the Human Power Generator by using a DC-AC inverter connected to a battery for stability (see our Portable Power Pack). It is also possible to directly power certain DC powered equipment such as a low power water pump without using a battery. Appliances such as a DC television, light or radio may also be used. However, with this application, a voltage regulator may be required and keep in mind that the electrical current delivered, follows the same rhythym of your pedaling - which is not constant.

You can choose the kind of wire termination that suits your application. The most universal cable uses plier- style clips to attach directly to the battery posts.

ReplyDeleteI get the impression that the touch display being above the key pad, and in general being at the top of the device, will make it not so comfortable to use. Reason is that the the hand can’t rest anywhere comfortable or easily hold the device, in order to supply a reference for hand/finger movement. The full hand with finger has to be moved through the air. This kind of motion is much less precise or costs much more effort to make precise and fast. Place the touch display below! Mayun
